The Startup Masterclass
Entrepreneurship is a series of iterative experiments. Here's what I've learned about Burn Rate Management and Product-Market Fit (PMF) after building 4 startups.
The Startup Playbook
- Iterate Fast: Ship before you're ready. Feedback from real users is the only metric that matters.
- Hire for Hunger: In the early stages, skills can be taught; drive and alignment with the vision cannot.
- Focus on the User: Always solve the user's pain point before optimizing the technology.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Product-Market Fit (PMF)?
PMF is the moment when the market starts pulling the product from you. You'll know it when your primary problem shifts from 'how to get users' to 'how to handle the scale of growth.'
How do you handle startup failure?
Failure is just data. Every 'failed' project taught me 90% of the architecture and strategy I used in the next successful one. Don't fear the pivot; fear standing still.
Should I raise money or bootstrap?
Bootstrap for as long as possible to maintain control and find PMF. Raise money when you need capital to accelerate an engine that you've already proven works.
Build something people want. Then build something the world needs.
